About this event

Ever wondered what are those birds you keep seeing at the bus stop and at the park? And which birds are coming to your back garden or balcony? Then join Wild Eindhoven for a nature walk where we will get to know the birds that live with us in the city!

We'll make a small walk along the city (~3km), where we will come across several different species. We will probably also see some unusual birds and other wildlife surprises.

I'll tell you their names, how to recognize them and tell them apart from the other species. I'll share what I know about their habits, nesting places, and why they are important to us and how cities (and ourselves) can have an important role in their protection.

In the end, I hope you will know better the most common birds that we see every day.   If you are interested in knowing more about the nature in the city or if you want to start birdwatching (in your backyard, why not?), then this is for you! No previous experience needed and everyone is welcome.

Practicalities:

The meeting point is in front of the Van Abbe Museum in Eindhoven (in the corner of Bilderdijklaan and Wal) at 9:30.

Bring comfortable walking shoes (watertight if it has been raining) and, if you have, binoculars and/or photo camera (not mandatory!).

Looking forward to meet you there! Let's explore the city's nature!
